creating unique monochrome works that inspire and provoke viewers to discuss and reflect on contemporary society and culture. vasya strives to preserve and pass on the heritage of traditional printmaking methods while utilizing modern photography techniques and to attract new viewers to the craft.

using the silkscreen method, vasya creates unique photographic works that can be installed in museums and galleries as well as used in commercial projects. he pays great attention to the details and materials he uses to create spectacular and lasting photographs that will leave their mark on art history.

i am vasil akulov. since childhood i have shown an interest in art and design. i graduated from art school, where i learned the basics of classical drawing and painting. british school of design, where i became an art director, studying various aspects of design. my passion for art and design continues to this day.

i started my professional journey with a branding agency, then worked as a design director at the largest advertising agency bbdo moscow. later i moved to tinkoff bank and became vice president of design. here i managed the design department and worked on a new brand style, which is used throughout russia. besides work, i continued to develop my art and design, taking part in many international exhibitions and receiving awards for my work.

my work caused not only the visual satisfaction of the audience, but also evoked some emotions and moods. today i live in russia and continue to engage in design and art, creating unique projects and consultations for many large companies. my desire to promote russian art and design in the world community is stronger and stronger, and i would like my work to leave a mark in the history of art.
